La Liga round-up: Real beaten at home

Runner-up Real Madrid continued their disappointing end to the La Liga season after slumping to a 3-1 home defeat to Real Mallorca.
Gonzalo HiguaÃn broke the deadlock in the 20th minute as Rafael van der Vaart curled in a free-kick from the left and the Argentine rose at the near post to plant a powerful header past Miguel Moyá.
But five minutes later the visitors drew level when Juan Arango fired a low shot past Iker Casillas following a burst past Real's defense by Aritz Aduriz.
Cléber Santana then put Mallorca in front with a spectacular goal in the 59th minute. There appeared little danger on when the midfielder picked the ball up near the halfway line, but he powered his through the opposite defense before delivering a floated shot over Casillas.
Even some of Los Blancos fans applauded that effort, but there were only jeers and whistles 12 minutes later when Alhassane Keita added a third with 19 minutes remaining.
