José Mourinho plots return to English football

Saturday, November 14, 2009

Ex-Chelsea manager José Mourinho has revealed that he English football is where he wants to spend the rest of his career.

The Portuguese boss, who is currently in his second season in Serie A with Inter Milan, enjoyed a hugely successful spell at Stamford Bridge, winning back-to-back Premier League titles along with helping the club secure the FA Cup, League Cup twice and Community Shield.

"I want to build something," Mourinho told The Times. "I want to work with a different perspective.

"I love Inter and would love to build for the future here. In fact, I am doing it now, because I am not a selfish coach and I'm thinking about the future in terms of youth development and the age structure of my first team.

"But Italy is not the country for this. England is the country - and my football is English football."
