Real Madrid moved to within two points of Barcelona at the top the La Liga summit with a 6-0 thumping of Real Zaragoza at the Bernabéu.
The game was over as a contest inside the opening 34 minutes as Real raced into a 4-0 lead through braces from the in-form Gonzalo HiguaÃn and Rafael van der Vaart.
The hosts extended their lead four minutes into the second-half when Cristiano Ronaldo turned his marker inside out before firing left-footed into the far corner.
