Sampdoria fought back from a goal down to beat 10-man Lazio 2-1 and climb a place into sixth in the Serie A.
The visitors took the lead after just seven minutes Sergio Floccari scored from close range after excellent work from Mauro Zárate.
Sampdoria equalised on 29 minutes through Stefano Guberti and Giampaolo Pazzini put the home in front just seven minutes later.
And things got worse for Lazio when Zárate was sent off for deliberate handball 12 minutes from the end.
