Cristiano Ronaldo would welcome José Mourinho at Real Madrid

Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo sees Inter Milan boss José Mourinho as the man to reverse the club's fortunes.

Having endured a largely unsuccessful season under current coach Manuel Pellegrini, it is expected that the Chilean chief will be shown the exit door this summer.

Last week's defeat by Barcelona left Los Merengues three points adrift at the top of La Liga while their Champions League campaign was ended by Olympique Lyon in the last 16.

And Ronaldo believes his Portuguese compatriot would be the ideal man to take charge at the Bernabeu.

The 25-year-old told Sky Sports News: "He is a special coach. He has shown that he is one of the best in the world so maybe the people don't like him because he is top, his character, he is a special person.

"I know him very well. I like him a lot - I know his character, he is a winning guy.

"Madrid he'd change a lot - he'd buy new players, new coach."
