Robbie Keane undecided about his future

Saturday, April 10, 2010

Robbie Keane admits he is unsure whether he will stay with Glasgow Celtic or return to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

Keane, who has scored 12 goals in 12 games since signing on loan in January, has been down this road before, made so many career moves that he knows the pitfalls of blurting out any thoughts about whether he will or won’t stay somewhere.

The 29-year-old striker told the press: "I'm not saying there isn't a chance of me staying because nothing's been decided yet. I'm not thinking about Spurs at the moment because Celtic are the people who are paying my wages.

"Who knows what might happen? I certainly haven't said there's no chance of me staying. I haven't decided anything and nobody associated with me has said 'Yes' or 'No' to anything."

"I'm not saying there is a chance or that there isn't a chance (of staying). I'm just saying that when I came here we said we would speak at the end of the season if there was an opportunity to do so.

"I'm neither decided nor undecided. I'm going back to Spurs, we will sit down and if something was to happen then we haven't spoken about that yet. As far as I'm concerned we wait until the end of the season and then, in football, you never know."
