Ronaldinho's agent has claimed that the playmaker will remain at AC Milan for the rest of his career after receiving a welcome to stay at the San Siro "for life" from Silvio Berlusconi earlier in the week.

The 30-year-old's future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, with a return to his homeland mooted.

However, Milan supermo Berlusconi recently confirmed his intention to retain Ronaldinho's services, with a contraction extension now seemingly on the cards.

Roberto de Assis told Il Corriere dello Sport: "Ronaldinho will finish his career in red and black.

"The words of president Silvio Berlusconi have given us a great pleasure. There is always great respect between the President and us.

"The bond that has been created with Milan is beautiful and will continue. Our desire is the same of Berlusconi.

"I will see soon (Milan vice-president) Adriano Galliani to discuss the contract. I don't expect any major problems, but in any case, there is no hurry to sign."
