Goals from Theo Walcott and Andrei Arshavin were enough to hand Arsenal an impressive 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
Arsenal took the lead after 19 minutes through Walcott's superb drive before Mame Biram Diouf levelled matters before the interval with his first goal for Blackburn.
But the Gunners went back ahead in the 51st minute when a Cesc FÃ bregas effort in the area was blocked only to squirt clear to Arshavin, who poked past the advancing Paul Robinson.
