Nicklas Bendtner: I'll never go back to Arsenal!

New Sunderland loan signing Nicklas Bendtner is adamant he would never pull on an Arsenal jersey ever again in his career.

The 23-year-old clinched a temporary move to the Stadium of Light in a Deadline Day deal after being told he was not part of Arsène Wenger's plans.

And Bendtner, who believes the club never quite forgave him for a car crash two years ago, has vowed never to play for Arsenal again.

He told The Sun: "I will never go back to Arsenal. If I can have it my way, I will never play for them again.

"After my car accident I never really got the chance to earn a spot in the first team.

"That is over one-and-a-half years with no real chance to prove myself.

"I am really looking forward to playing for Sunderland and then we will see next summer.

"I will find a new club — but I will not go back to Arsenal, that's for sure."

Bendtner made his Gunners debut as a teenager in 2005, but has struggled to command a regular place in the starting line-up at the Emirates.
