Serie A: AC Milan 1-1 Juventus

Sunday, February 26, 2012

A late goal from substitute Alessandro Matri helped Juventus snatch a 1-1 draw with Serie A leaders AC Milan in a thrilling top-of-the-table clash at the San Siro.

The home side went ahead on 15 minutes when Antonio Nocerino's effort from distance took a deflection and wrong-footed Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

But substitute Matri struck the leveler just seven-minutes from time, volleying home Simone Pepe's cross for a goal which could well prove decisive in the title race.

Juventus finished the game with 10 men after Arturo Vidal was given a straight red card on 89 minutes for tackling Philippe Mexès from behind.
