Premier League: Man City 2-1 Chelsea
Table of Contents
Manchester City are now back to within a point of table-toppers Manchester United after coming from behind to claim a late 2-1 win over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.
The Blues had looked on course for a big victory after Gary Cahill's deflected effort on the hour gave them the lead.
But City battled and were awarded a penalty with just 12 minutes left from time when Michael Essien was penalised for handling Pablo Zabaleta's shot in the area and Sergio Agüero converted the resulting spot kick.
66th-minute substitute Carlos Tévez then marked his first appearance in six months by slipping Samir Nasri into the area with a delightful through-ball which the Frenchman dispatched coolly.
