Bayern Munich took a big step towards the Champions League semi-finals after beating Olympique Marseille 2-0 away from home in the first leg of their last-eight tie.
Marseille contained their opponents well until falling behind on the stroke of half-time when third-choice goalkeeper Elinton Andrade failed to keep out a shot from Mario Gómez that was well struck but really should have been saved.
Bayern doubled their lead in the 69th minute as Arjen Robben exchanged passes with Thomas Müller on the edge of the penalty area before curling his finish inside the left post.
