Premier League: Newcastle 3-0 Stoke
Table of Contents
Two goals from Yohan Cabaye and another from the prolific Papiss Demba Cissé helped Newcastle United to a convincing 3-0 home victory over Stoke City.
The Magpies broke the deadlock in the 14th minute when Hatem Ben Arfa escaped down the left and hung up an inviting cross for Cissé, whose header came back off the bar to fall to Cabaye who nodded home successfully.
Cabaye was then at the centre of Newcastle's second four minutes later as his astute through-ball slotted home first time by Cissé.
The third goal arrived on 57 minutes when, after Ben Arfa and Demba Ba had probed at the visitors' defense to little real effect, Cabaye took charge to bury a long-range strike at Asmir Begović's far post.
