Chelsea made it three wins out of three at the start of the new Premier League season following a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.
The European champions went ahead on 22 minutes when Eden Hazard converted from the spot-kick after Fernando Torres had been fouled by Vurnon Anita, making his full Newcastle debut.
There was still time before the interval for Chelsea to double their lead as Hazard back-heeled the ball perfectly into the path of Torres, who found the top corner from 18 yards with a shot struck sweetly with the outside of his boot.
