Bruma's agent said the events took place on Wednesday night, a day after the 18-year-old begged his current club Sporting to let him leave for the Blues.

"Last night there was an attempted kidnap of Bruma by 'Juve Leo' (Sporting fans) at the hotel where he lives," agent Cátio Baldé told Portuguese radio station Antena 1.

"We have registered a complaint with police and we have been informed it was done at the behest of Sporting's management."

If the attempted kidnapping did take place then Bruma can rescind his contract with Sporting and he would be free to join any club of his choice.

Baldé added: "We have pressed charges. This is a very serious and unpleasant matter, and it led to this decision."

Interestingly, Baldé also confirmed the wonder winger has at least two offers for his services.

He said: "I was in charge of presenting offers to Sporting. There are offers from foreign clubs, from Chelsea and from Galatasaray, worth €8 million that could reach €12 million.

"From this moment on, considering that he is a highly-coveted player, it is possible that more offers will arrive, because I know that several clubs were waiting for the best moment to make a move."

And when asked whether he would exit the club in the near future, Baldé replied: "Right now, Bruma's mind is not on Sporting."
