Player booked for tackling a streaker

[Tuesday, July 22, 2008 ]

There was an unusual moment in the last Saturday’s Moscow derby between Spartak and Lokomotiv.

Spartak were 2-1 down in the second half when a topless fan invaded the pitch. Radoslav Kováč, Spartak's defender, decided to stop the streaker with a tackle which earned him a booking.

Later on, Spartak has sent a complaint to the federation to cancel the sanction.

However, Kováč seemed to be lucky as he did not receive a straight red for his tackle from behind.
