Ferguson and Arshavin win April gongs

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsenal forward Andrei Arshavin have been rewarded for their superb work over the last month by receiving the Manager and Player of the Month award for April.
Ferguson has been awarded the accolade after guiding the Red Devils to victory in all four of their April league games having overseen consecutive defeats at the end of March.
The revival begun with Federico Macheda’s winners against both Aston Villa and Sunderland and continued with victories over Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur to take the regining champions clear of title rivals Liverpool.
It is the 23rd time that Ferguson has been named Manager of the Month and the second occasion this season after he picked up the prize in January.
Meanwhile, the Player of the Month title has been handed to Russian schemer Arshavin, whose vibrant displays in recent weeks have illuminated the Premier League - most notably with his four-goal salvo in a 4-4 thriller with Liverpool at Anfield.
