Crouch, Redknapp reunited at Tottenham

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

Peter Crouch will rejoin manager Harry Redknapp for the third time in his career after completing £9 million to Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.

The 28-year-old worked with Redknapp during his time at Southampton and Portsmouth.

The beanpole striker successfully completed a medical on Monday and agreed personal terms - believed to be a five year contract worth £70,000 a week.

Crouch is now back where he started his career as a youth trainee before being flogged to QPR in a £60,000 deal in 2000.

"He gives us a bit of a different option," Redknapp said.

"We now have four top strikers which is what you need at every club and so I am delighted to have Crouchy.

"He is different to almost anyone else in the league in terms of his size and the way he plays the game, so I am pleased to have him.

"With him, Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko we have a good strikeforce."
