Newcastle United striker Obafemi Martins would be interested in securing a move to Bundesliga champions VfL Wolfsburg.
The Nigerian appears unwilling to stay at St James' Park following the club's relegation to the Championship.
"The Bundesliga is on the up and could soon become one of the best in the world," Martins said in Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung.
"Therefore I am keen on joining a side that has recently become champions of that division.
"I am hoping this transfer is going to be pushed through real soon."
