Chelsea advanced to the last 16 of the Carling Cup with a narrow 1-0 win over West London neighbour Queens Park Rangers.
The returning Joe Cole set up the winner in the 52nd minute as his reverse pass found Salomon Kalou, who cut inside Mikele Leigertwood to shoot in off the far post.
