Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti is desperate to sign Barcelona star Lionel Messi, according to Nerazzurri captain Javier Zanetti.
On Friday, reports in the Italian press claimed that Inter have an agreement with Messi's father, Jorge, that will give them first choice in landing the player.
"He wanted to have him in the team but for the moment it's impossible. With Messi in the team Inter would be extraordinary.
"But Leo does not want to move from Barcelona - all the times that we have spoken about that he says that he is very happy, that he has fun and that he loves the way Barça play football and all their people.
"That shows that he is a leader. But maybe when I am an official of Inter I will have the chance to bring him over."
