Wayne Rooney was involved in every goal as Manchester United claimed a 3-1 victory over Hull City at the KC Stadium.
Rooney gave United the lead on the stroke of half-time but gifted Hull a route back with the woeful backpass that led to Craig Fagan's penalty equaliser.
The England striker then redeemed himself by forcing an own goal from Andy Dawson after 73 minutes and played the cheekiest of passes through a defender's legs for Dimitar Berbatov to tap in a third eight minutes from time.
