Bolton Wanderers moved further away from relegation zone with a 4-0 triumph over fellow strugglers Wigan Athletic which keeps the visitors in trouble.
Owen Coyle's men took the lead after 10 minutes when Johan Elmander shrugged off Gary Caldwell to send a shot beyond Chris Kirkland for his third league goal of the campaign.
Kevin Davies extended their lead from the penalty spot three minutes into the second half after Tamir Cohen was bundled over by Caldwell in the area.
Fabrice Muamba and Matt Taylor then added further goals in the second-half to give Bolton a vital win in their bid to move clear of the relegation zone.
