Fabrizio Miccoli scored a hat-trick as Palermo beat Bologna 3-1 to strengthen their hold on fourth place and the final Champions League berth.
Miccoli put Palermo ahead after 10 minutes, but their poor form resurfaced after 38 minutes when Martins Adailton curled in a free-kick after he had been needlessly fouled.
The Rosanera's frustration at allowing an equaliser was short-lived as Miccoli put them back ahead from the penalty spot four minutes later before wrapping up his hat-trick 11 minutes from the end.
