Serie A: AS Roma 2-1 Inter Milan

Sunday, March 28, 2010

AS Roma moved within one point of Inter Milan with seven games remaining after claiming a 2-1 victory over the Serie A leaders at the Stadio Olimpico.

The home side took the lead on 16 minutes when Daniele De Rossi pushed in a loose ball from close range following a rebound of a header from Nicolás Burdisso.

Diego Milito equalised for Inter in the 66th minute following a cross from Wesley Sneijder, although replays showed Goran Pandev was offside before Sneijder even got the ball.

But Roma restored their lead six minutes later as Luca Toni controlled a mis-hit Rodrigo Taddei shot and fired home to seal the triumph.
