AS Roma returned to the top of the Serie A for 24 hours at least after a 2-1 win over Parma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
Francesco Totti set Roma on their way with the opener after just five minutes with a superb chipped finish over Parma keeper Antonio Mirante.
Roma doubled their advantage in the 76th minute when substitute Luca Toni freed Totti, who crossed to the far post for Rodrigo Taddei to head home.
Davide Lanzafame pulled a goal back for Parma in the 81st minute, but their hopes of getting anything from the game went up in smoke when Luis Jiménez was sent off a minute from time.
