Barcelona maintained their one point lead at the top of the La Liga table with a vital 3-2 win over 10-man Sevilla on a dramatic evening the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
Lionel Messi put Barcelona ahead after just five minutes with an impressive strike before Bojan Krkić doubled the lead in the 28th minute.
Sevilla were left with a near impossible task 10 minutes into the second period when Abdoulay Konko was dismissed for a second bookable offence and Barça looked to be out of sight after Pedro Rodríguez struck a third shortly afterwards.
But Barcelona were forced to endure a nervous finale as Sevilla, out of nothing, hit two goals back with three minutes through Frédéric Kanouté and Luís Fabiano.
