Darren Bent converted a last-gasp penalty to give Sunderland a dramatic 1-0 win over Manchester City at the Stadium of Light.
City dominated the first half and they should have taken the lead in the 15th minute but Carlos Tévez incredibly blasted the ball over the bar from just eight yards in front of an open goal.
The game looked set to be heading for a draw until Micah Richards was penalised for bundling over Bent inside the box deep into stoppage time and the Sunderland striker scored from the resulting penalty to condemn the visitors to their first defeat this term.
