Jérémy Menez and Marco Borriello scored either side of halftime to earn 10-man AS Roma a 2-0 success over Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico.
The hosts broke the deadlock after 24 minutes when Menez cut in off the left wing, beat two defenders and curled a shot past Samir Handanovič.
Borriello made it 2-0 with 56 minutes played, although they finished the contest a man light following Nicolás Burdisso's dismissal with nine minutes remaining.
