Mario Gómez scored a hat-trick as Bayern Munich progressed into the knock-out phase of the Champions League with a convincing 4-0 win at CFR Cluj.
Gómez's first goal arrived on 12 minutes when he tapped home after Andreas Ottl's shot had been saved and the striker doubled the lead on 24 minutes after Bastian Schweinsteiger had headed back Hamit Altintop's cross.
Gómez completed his treble 20 minutes from time and substitute Thomas Müller added a late fourth to maintain the German champions' 100 percent Group E record after four games.
