Sevilla boosted their hopes of snatching Champions League qualification with a 3-2 win over fourth-place Villarreal at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
Ivan Rakitić and Álvaro Negredo put the hosts 2-0 up inside 14 minutes before Carlos Marchena pulled one back in the 56th minute.
Substitutes Ndri Romaric and Giuseppe Rossi then traded goals before Marchena was sent off two late bookings.
