Champions League Group H: Barcelona 2-2 AC Milan

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

AC Milan struck after just 23 seconds and then again at the death to secure a 2-2 draw against defending champions Barcelona in the Group H encounter at the Camp Nou.

Alexandre Pato had Barcelona on the back foot when he put the Italian champions ahead within 30 seconds, but the advantage was not to last with Lionel Messi laying on the equalising goal for Pedro in the 36th minute.

A sublime David Villa free-kick put the Catalan club in front for the first time on 50 minutes, but the Rossoneri were not to be subdued with Thiago Silva out-jumping two defenders and planting a late header into the top corner.
