Valencia failed to turn their dominance into three points as they were held to a 0-0 draw away to Genk in their Champions League Group E opener.

The closest either side came to breaking the deadlock in Belgium arrived midway through the second-half when Valencia centre-half Adil Rami rattled Genk's crossbar with an overhead volley.
