Bolton rallied to beat Sunderland 4-1 as the pressure continued to build on Black Cats manager Roy Keane.

The Irishman has not been in the best of moods in recent weeks following rumors that he is set to walk away from the Stadium of Light.

The hosts were ahead after 11 minutes when Djibril Cissé pounced home inside the far post after being fed by Steed Malbranque.

But Matthew Taylor pulled Gary Megson's men level within seven minutes as he rose above Pascal Chimbonda to meet Gretar Steinsson's cross with a looping header over Craig Gordon.

And just three minutes later, Gary Cahill put Bolton ahead with a fierce shot beyond.

Cissé thought he had equalised for the Black Cats in the 31st minute, but his acrobatic volley was ruled out after Kenwyne Jones was harshly penalised for a push on Jlloyd Samuel.

Johan Elmander piled on the misery on 39 minutes when the Swedish striker scored from a tight angle following a slack defending from Danny Collins.

Sunderland's afternoon got worse 10 minutes into the second half when Kevin Nolan won possession from Dean Whitehead to feed Elmander to complete a miserable day for Keane.
