Aston Villa squandered a two-goal lead with just two minutes left against Stoke to draw 2-2 at Villa Park.
Villa opened the scoring in the 45th minute when James Milner cut across the Potters' box and found Stilian Petrov, who crashed a fierce drive across Thomas Sørensen into the corner of the net.
And the Bulgarian then played a part in substitute John Carew's superb second as he played the ball into the big striker who volleyed past replacement goalkeeper Steve Simonsen from 20 yards out.
Gabriel Agbonlahor then miskicked with the goal at his mercy from a Carew centre while Glenn Whelan whacked a post from 25 yards for Stoke.
Ryan Shawcross pulled one back for the visitors as he headed home James Beattie's cross two minutes from the end.
And then in the first minute of time added on, Whelan stole in with a superb drive after Petrov failed to get enough strength in his attempted clearance.
