Barcelona's title celebrations fell flat as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at Real Mallorca.
The Catalans' status as champions had been confirmed on Saturday night when their closest rivals Real Madrid lost 3-2 at Villarreal.
The visiting side went ahead after 10 minutes when Samuel Eto'o nodded in Bojan Krkić's cross.
Juan Arango drew Mallorca level in the 73rd minute as he fired home a spectacular free-kick.
Cléber Santana then headed home from José Jurado's cross five minutes later to put his side 2-1 ahead.
Eto'o wasted the chance to earn Barcelona a draw when he missed an injury-time penalty, drilling his spot-kick against the foot of the post before the final whistle sounded.
