Juventus were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Bordeaux in their opening Group A match in the Champions League.
Vincenzo Iaquinta broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute when he linked up with captain Fabio Cannavaro.
But Jaroslav Plašil equalised for Bordeaux 15 minutes from time, tapping home at the far post after Fernando had flicked on Yoann Gourcuff's free kick.
