Premier League: Tottenham 5-0 Burnley

Sunday, September 27, 2009

Robbie Keane helped himself to a four-goal haul to help Tottenham Hotspur snatch a 5-0 drubbing over Burnley at White Hart Lane.

The Republic of Ireland striker opened his account from the spot after Jermain Defoe was brought down in the area by André Bikey.

Jermaine Jenas doubled the lead with 15 minutes remaining as he followed up a blocked Nico Kranjčar's shot and blasted past Brian Jensen from 25 yards out.

Keane then finished into the roof of the net after good work from Aaron Lennon down the right, before hitting another past Jensen with his left foot and then squeezing his fourth through the keeper's legs from a tight angle.
