A three-goal blitz midway through the second half gave Real Madrid a comfortable 3-0 win over 10-man Olympique Marseille at the Bernabéu.

The hosts were not able to break down a well-organized Marseille defense until Cristiano Ronaldo slotted home from Pepe's pass on 58 minutes.

Two minutes later they doubled their advantage when Kaká scored from the penalty spot after Souleymane Diawara had been harshly sent off for a foul on Ronaldo.

Ronaldo then scored his ninth goal of the season after being fed by Karim Benzema in the 64th before coming off with the apparent leg injury.
