Chelsea have confirmed midfield duo Joe Cole and Michael Ballack and defender Juliano Belletti will leave the club next month following the expiration of their contracts.

The Premier League champions confirmed the departures of Cole and Ballack on Wednesday morning after the parties failed to reach agreement on new contracts and on Wednesday afternoon it was announced Belletti would join them.

Cole had spent seven seasons at Stamford Bridge after signing for £6.6 million from West Ham United in 2003. He played 282 games for the Blues, scoring 40 times, and helped the club win three Premier League titles.

A Blues statement said: "We would like to thank him for his dedicated years of service and wish him well in his future career."

Ballack leaves Chelsea after four years with the club unwilling to offer the German the two-year contract he was seeking.

The statement added: "All at the club would like to place on record our thanks for his service and wish him luck for the future."

Belletti, who joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2007, was the starting right-back in his first season, but lost his spot with the arrival of José Bosingwa in 2008.

"A thoughtful and popular figure, Chelsea Football Club would like to thank Juliano for his contribution," continued the statement.
