Real Madrid have announced they have secured the services of Argentina midfielder Ángel di María from Benfica.

The 22-year-old has put pen to paper on a six year deal at the Bernabéu and moved for a reported fee of €25 million.

Benfica said in a statement to the Lisbon stock exchange that they could receive up to an additional €5 million depending on the number of matches di María plays at Madrid and a further €6 million based on his achievements.

Di María, who is currently with Argentina at the World Cup, becomes José Mourinho's first signing as Real Madrid coach as he looks to make his mark on the team.
