The Real Madrid ace, along with 16 other footballers, will be the center-piece of global advertising, marketing and promotional campaigns to help give the game an even bigger push.

Despite being one of the best players in the world, having won both the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year in 2007, this is Kaká's first time as a FIFA cover star.

"I've always been a fan of EA SPORTS and especially the FIFA series," Kaká said.

"Being on the FIFA 11 cover is a great honor for me since very few players have this opportunity, and there have been some great players featured on the cover of this truly amazing video game."

Though FIFA Soccer 10 won 50 sports game of the year awards, 2011's installment boasts a number of new features, including Personality+ which attempts to precisely mirror a player's individual personality in the game.

"(Kaká) perfectly illustrates a new feature in FIFA Soccer 11 called Personality+ that sees a player's individual ability reflected in game, enabling clear differentiation for every player," EA Sports' soccer vice president Matt Bilbey said in a statement.

"With Kaká's visionary style of soccer he's always one step ahead of the opposition, moving into space with an often subtle change of pace and delivering crisp, creative one-touch passes and catching the goalkeepers off guard with strikes often from distance on either foot," he said.

"His play is unlike any other player in our game and you will feel individual differences like this in each player, in every match."

FIFA Soccer 11 will be available for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC, PS2, Nintendo DS, PSP and mobile phones and is expected to hit the store on September 28 in North America, and October 1 in Europe and Asia.
