United increased the lead five minutes after the break when Nani waltzed through the Hammers' defence before smashing the ball past Robert Green.
Dimitar Berbatov wrapped up the victory with twenty minutes to go as the Bulgarian acrobatically scissor-kicked a Nani pass into the net.
