Athletic Bilbao fought back from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw with Sporting Gijón at El Molinón.
Miguel de las Cuevas fired Sporting ahead on 12 minutes and Gastón Sangoy made it 2-0 with a fine finish in the 23rd minute.
Carlos Gurpegui quickly pulled a goal back for Bilbao and their comeback was complete before the hour mark when Fernando Llorente struck just before the hour mark.
