Schalke 04 are through to the Champions League quarter-finals after defeating Valencia 3-1 at the Veltins-Arena to claim a 4-2 aggregate win.
The Germans were favourites to progress after grabbing a 1-1 in Valencia, but they found themselves behind when Ricardo Costa gave the Spanish side the lead after 17 minutes.
They battled back, though, with Jefferson Farfán levelling before the break as he curled a superb free-kick into the top corner past Vicente Guaita, who got a fingertip to the ball but could not keep it out.
Swiss youngster Mario Gavranović then put them ahead seven minutes into the second half before Farfán wrapped up the win deep into injury-time.
