Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema scored two apiece as La Liga leaders Real Madrid brushed aside Real Sociedad 5-1 at the Bernabéu.
The hosts made the breakthrough as early as the sixth minute through Gonzalo Higuaín and Ronaldo doubled the advantage after half an hour for his 100th La Liga goal, making him the fastest player to reach that landmark in Los Merengues' history.
Benzema added a third with a wonderful lob five minutes before the break before Xabi Prieto's deflected effort pulled a goal back for the visitors a minute later.
However, the home side continued to dominate and Benzema and Ronaldo doubled their tallies after the break thanks to more great build-up play from Sami Khedira and Higuaín respectively.
