Iain Ramsay struck a cracking goal as Adelaide United defeated Perth Glory 3-2 in a A-League match at the Hindmarsh Stadium on Friday.
Adelaide substitute Jerónimo Neumann pounced on a woeful attempted clearance by Scott Jamieson to open the scoring from close range in the 29th minute and doubled the advantage eight minutes later.
The home side extended their lead seconds after the break when Ramsay netted a cracking one-timer.
A Dario Vidošić corner was cleared by the Glory defense, but the ball fell invitingly towards Ramsay, who sized up from 15 metres and powered a left-footer into the top corner.
A late Shane Smeltz penalty and a good strike from Steven McGarry in stoppage time gave Glory a faint chance of snatching a draw, but it was all they could produce as Adelaide hung on for victory.
