Werder Bremen teammates Marko Arnautović and Sokratis Papastathopoulos had a petulant training ground brawl on Thursday.
It all started when Sokratis collided with Arnautović during a five-a-side match, with the Austrian falling to the floor with his head in his hands.
Sokratis was upset with the reaction and gave him a little encouragement to get to his feet, but Arnautović reacted terribly as he he threw an elbow when offered a hand of help.
The Greek promptly grabbed his colleague by the throat before stunned staff and players rushed in to drag the pair apart.
Sokratis, though, still managed to get a slap in before the duo were separated.
Bremen, who sit just two places above the relegation zone, are yet to announce what they will do about the incident.
