Liverpool fans start petition for Warrior Sports to change away kit design

After images of Liverpool's 2013/14 third and away kits were unveiled, one supporter went so far as to create an official petition for Warrior Sports to scrap the design and start over.

The Reds supporters' worst nightmares were realized when the club confirmed their new kits, prompting the Anfield faithful to take action.

From the petition:

Recently the away and third kit designs were leaked for the 2013/2014 season from reliable sources. Granted these are not official and thus Warrior Sports still has time to make changes to these hideous pieces of clothing before they are unleashed on the world and players, supporters, and merchants are stuck with these atrocities.

We understand that you are trying to be "hip" to break into the market, Warrior. We understand that you enjoy "aggressive advertising" and looks. Unfortunately you have done it with the wrong club. Liverpool FC is a club with history and worldwide support. Please make an effort. These are an absolute embarrassment to the club, to its history, to its supporters, and to the crest.

When the new away kit design was leaked to a LFC supporter group, these were some of the Facebook comments left in reply:
"Well at least I'm going to save $110 by not buying one."
"It's a call to the shitty 80s jerseys that plagued English soccer, haha"
"so fucking ugly"
"i just projectile vomited on my keyboard upon viewing this"
"Makes you wanna throw up... and looks like someone already did! Ugh!"
"No. No, man. Shit, no, man. I believe you'd get your ass kicked, wearin' somethin' like that, man."

When the third kit was leaked, this was the reaction of supporters:
"I think Warriors design team is a bunch of middle aged bald men stuck in the 80's... This kit looks like my 94' AYSO shirt!"
"Warrior's designers are blind."
"Did they run out of fabric in 1 color and just start sewing together different colored pieces of fabric?"
"I mean I can honestly say without exaggeration that worldwide sales of that 3rd kit would likely be below 100...including the team. These truly make this year's scuba suit/tribal tattoo-styles look like classics. "

Please, Warrior...for the love of all that is holy and good in this world. Please reconsider these kits. Please scrap these horrid eyesores for something that: (a) people might buy and (b) people would be proud to root for a team wearing. It makes business sense for you and the supporters will love you for it.
