Ángel Di María rolled back the years with a moment of brilliance on Sunday night, scoring directly from a corner kick to earn Rosario Central a 1-1 draw against Boca Juniors in the Primera División.

The 36-year-old World Cup winner, who returned to his boyhood club earlier this year, produced the goal of the weekend with a spectacular Olimpico strike that left the opposition goalkeeper and defenders helpless.

How the Match Unfolded

Boca looked to have taken control when Leandro Paredes combined with Brian Aguirre, whose cross was met by Rodrigo Battaglia for a well-placed header to make it 1-0.

But Rosario Central hit back almost immediately.

Awarded a corner, Di María whipped the ball in with trademark precision and power, curling it straight into the net to level the score.

The Olimpico goal marked Di María's fourth goal in just seven league matches since rejoining his former side.
